Welcome to Extinction. 2021
Katya Veber introduces her debut, fresh-baked album “Welcome to Extinction.”
The music of space and sensations. The sounds of visionary synths, classical violins, agitating piano and lirico-dramatic soprano voice immerse into the world of contrast. You drown in the alluring warm substance of massive sounds. Her music is a grand show of an enchanting circus with epic tricks and a faerie atmosphere. The dignified finale of the beginnings. You look at the stars and merge with the frigid but marvelous space. You know that there is something out there. You feel no gravity. You see unreal, unusual living creatures. You get into unknown metaphysical spaces.
Music
Dream Sequence. 2021
The cosmit adaptation of the intimate song “Unintended” by Muse.
“Dream Sequence” is a ballad. A simple but still catchy story about a girl who is fighting for her dream despite all challenges she faces.
The use of synths, guitars, and bells creates the atmosphere of a spacey fairytale.
Insomnia. 2022
The booming cocktail of the grunge’s rage and the alternative’s sensibility is Veber’s response to the increasing instability in the world. “Insomnia” was born during the pandemic in 2021, but it has been developing throughout these 2 years full of horrific news. From deadly viruses to economic crisis to wars and riots to ecological disasters – it all has caused a disruption of our ordinary lives. “Insomnia” is a scream of someone who feels betrayed, lied to, whose youthful carelessness has been taken away. It is an anthem of disappointment, but still, the end reveals a glimpse of hope.
Прекрасное Далеко (The Beautiful Far Away). 2023
This is a soundtrack for the film Silent Nation which tells a story about an ordinary unfulfilled office worker in an isolated post-war nation who joins a rebellion fighting against the authoritarian government’s criminalization of all forms of communication to liberate the people and save her brother.
